Cheatin'

**Posted by Kyle

If you look to the right side of your screen, and scroll down a bit, you will see the "rules" that we are attempting to live by. We feel that these will allow us to be successful in our project. One of the rules is that Saturdays are the day that was can relax on our diets, and eat some of the things that we avoid during the week. I have started to figure out that this is actually a mixed blessing! This last weekend, I went out and got some of Nicole's favorite things, so we could "cheat" with them at lunch and dinner. I got egg rolls, crab rangoons, macaroni and cheese, crab cakes and even a steak. After eating some of this junk for lunch, we both looked at each other, and admitted that the results would not be good. Both of us almost immediately had stomach aches, and had to pull out the Tums. Then, at dinner, I cooked the steak and crab cakes. In the past, we would each eat a huge steak, plus potatoes, salad, beans, and a list of other things for our special meals at home. Now, we split a steak and neither of us finished our half!

It's good to see that our bodies are flushing out the old junk, and starting to get to a point where unhealthy foods really do cause internal problems. This is a whole new mindset for us, and it has been interesting to see the results of our little experiments.

Next week, we'll likely save our Cheat Day for Sunday, as it is the Superbowl (Geaux Saints). Oh Lord, I wonder what Buffalo Chicken Dip will do to me........
