I'm about to mix a bunch of sports analogies. When we started NF, we agreed that it would be a "marathon, not a sprint". Well, the middle part of the marathon has not been run at a very fast pace. We played hockey well the first period, not the second, and are going into the third. Football practice went well for warm ups, the drills in the middle were sloppy, and we're about to head to wind sprints.
For those of you that watched the Emmy's on Sunday Night, and not the NFL, the first episodes of our tv season were solid, the middle part was really flat, but we're leading up to the big finale.
In other words, we did really well eating right and working out from January through April. May through August- not so much. However, we are determined to finish strong. I don't know what this will say for our blog frequency, but starting tomorrow, we will post pics and weights on the first of each month.
This truly has been one of the toughest, most humbling, yet exhilarating and exciting things we have ever done. We have lost weight. We do feel better than we did in January. We can get our rings on and off. Big-picture wise, it has been a success.
We look forward to talking to you in December, after finishing strong.
